Direct Access

In the state of Connecticut, as well as many others, patients can enjoy the convenience and independence of having direct access to physical therapy. You are not required to have a referral from a physician to pursue physical therapy for an evaluation and treatment of an injury or pain.

Insurance Information

PT+ is an out of network provider with the following commercial insurance companies:

  • Atena

  • Cigna

  • United Health Care

We are currently in network providers with the following insurance companies:

  • Anthem / Blue Cross Blue Sheild

  • ConnectiCare

  • Oxford

  • Medicare

What this mean to you:

  • We will contact your insurance carrier, verify your insurance coverage and benefits, and discuss your financial responsibility (deductible, co-payment and co-insurance) prior to your treatment.

  • Upon request, we will provide a written estimate of the anticipated treatment costs, including treatment codes and the amount or estimated amount that we will bill. 

  • We will file claims on your behalf to your insurance carrier and ensure claims are processed accurately and in a timely manner.

Medicare 2023

  • We are participating providers with Medicare

  • Medicare Deductible 2024: The Medicare Part B deductible for 2024 is $240.00

  • Physical therapy care is based on medical necessity and will be covered as long as your referring physician and Doctor of Physical Therapy believe it is necessary.
